About the Talk Boards
Talk at the Hollywood Stock Exchange is where Exchange traders and Hollywood players
gather to analyze and kibitz. If you're having problems joining in any of the discussions
listed above, take a look below at
some of the most frequently asked questions. Talk is where you as an HSX player get to
contribute and truly make it your Hollywood Stock Exchange.
- I'm having difficulty submitting a post. What's up?
Well, likely you are not
entering a valid HSX username and password. If you haven't joined yet, you can
do so here for free. If you are already an HSX member, then
make sure you are entering in your username and password exactly as you see it in your
email -- they are both case-sensitive.
- I still can't post, probably because I refuse to become a member. Why can't I just
post anonymously?
Because our community doesn't like it. If you are not a member or
forgot your password or username, you can post anonymously on the Support Board,
because otherwise how could you ask for help finding out your username and password? I
mean, besides using our automated password tool.
That said, if enough people in our community think anonymous posting is a good idea,
well then that's just what we're going to have to do.
- Even with your anonymous thing on the Support Board,
I still can't seem to post. Am I just doing this totally wrong?
Maybe it's completely
our fault, or maybe
you can do something about it. Who knows? Our friendly support staff, that's who! Email
them at support@hsx.com and they'll be glad to help.
- What's this "scribbled" thing, and who is the scribbler?
Well, some people aren't
very polite but they are still a part of the thriving HSX community. If a person has
shown a history of making inflammatory posts, then the Talk Admin puts his/her username
on our master scribbled list. Their posts will now be identified in public space (the
board) by their username only and not their chosen handle, and their subject line will
be hidden. We do this to help keep the board clean, while refraining from censorship --
any post which is scribbled is fully accessible to anyone. If you wind up on the
scribbled list, then keep in mind that this is not a punishment, but merely the equivalent
of the Board Admin asking you to keep your voice down. Play nice, and you are easily
removed from the scribbled list by sending an email to macdaddy@hsx.com.
- What's my next frequently asked question?
